Dr Chatterjee is my hero!
He is a trained GP and openly wants to make a stand. His feelings are that standard medical practitioners are taught to cure illness by treating symptoms and that GP training is not as useful for the current epidemic of chronic lifestyle-related conditions that are prevalent today.
He practices ” progressive medicine” which provides a 360-degree approach and looks at the cause of an illness and aims to treat it that way. He fundamentally believes that many people are needlessly suffering and that many common health complaints of today are preventable.
I couldn’t agree more. His book, The Four Pillar Plan, sets out the four main areas of our health and lifestyle that we should focus on to improve wellbeing. These are Relax, Eat, Move & Sleep.
Each section of his book is very clearly laid out. He takes the time to explain the principles of each section is great detail and using science at every part possible but it is done in a way that is easy to understand and really does resonate.
I believe that many of the clients who come to see me would do well to read this book and implement those changes and see how much of a difference they can make. When symptoms are then remaining we can really work on the unique aspects of that person’s health to tailor a plan to support them more fully.
Dr Chatterjee really is a breath of fresh air and talks a lot of sense. You won’t be disappointed and potentially have a lot to gain.
