About Janet – Women’s Health Nutritionist in Maidenhead
Supporting women to feel nourished, balanced, and confident - at every stage of life.
I’m Janet Padfield, a Registered Nutritional Therapist and women’s health nutritionist based in Maidenhead, Berkshire. I help women understand their bodies, restore balance and feel like themselves again through personalised, evidence-based nutrition support.
I founded Apples to Zinc Nutrition to help women understand their bodies better and feel well again - physically, mentally, and emotionally.
After seeing so many women pushed to the bottom of their own priority list (me included!), I wanted to create a calm, supportive space where food becomes a source of strength and not another extra stress.
My work focuses on women’s health through nutrition and lifestyle support - helping clients address issues such as hormonal imbalance, low energy, perimenopause, digestion, fertility, and recovery after illness or treatment.
My Approach
I truly believe that small, realistic dietary changes make the biggest difference to health.
Every woman is unique - there’s no single “right” diet, and no shame in exploring what works for you.
I use an evidence-based, food-first approach to help you nourish your body, understand your symptoms, and feel empowered to take charge of your health. You won’t find judgement, fad diets, or rigid rules here - just clear explanations, practical support, and strategies that fit around your busy life.

Professional Background
I’m a fully qualified Registered Nutritional Therapist, trained in evidence-based nutritional science and clinical practice. I studied at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition.
I’m registered with the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), ensuring that all my advice is safe, professional, and grounded in current research.
Over the years, I’ve worked with women at all stages of life - from busy professionals to new mums, perimenopausal clients, teenagers, and those recovering from illness.
Each brings a different story, but the goal is always the same: to help them feel more like themselves again.
My practice is based in Maidenhead, where I specialise in women’s health, hormonal balance, digestion and perimenopause support.

Why A Women’s Health Nutritionist in Maidenhead?
Women’s bodies are beautifully complex - influenced by hormones, emotions, lifestyle, and the environment.
I’ve seen first-hand how easily women’s wellbeing can be pushed down the priority list and slip into the background when life gets busy. I've seen how small, mindful shifts in nutrition and lifestyle choices can reignite energy, confidence, and calm.
That’s why I’ve dedicated my practice to supporting women through:
♥ Hormonal balance and menstrual health
♥ Perimenopause and menopause
♥ Fertility, pregnancy, and postnatal recovery
♥ Gut health and digestion
♥ Energy, mood, and emotional wellbeing
You can explore these areas in more detail on the Services page.
